Quality Control
Quality Control: Providing a quality job from start to finish is sincere with Raney Fire Protection Systems, Inc. We don't just use it as a catch phrase or have it on a rubber stamp - it's real with us.
- We have three in-house quality checks at the design phase. 1) An initial review with the project manager and other project team members, 2) a pre-submittal review, and 3) a "field check" verifying actual conditions prior to fabrication.
- The fabrication facility we use has a detailed quality control system in place verifying coupon removal, proper weld penetration and coverage, and threading and grooving meets ASTM standards, etc.
- Once materials are delivered to the jobsite they are unloaded, inventoried, and inspected for discrepancies.
- Prior to any installation, an overview of the project, its specifications, and any special or unusual characteristics of the project are discussed.
- A meeting is held with the customer/superintendent to determine construction phases and expectations.
- An installation plan is devised and reviewed, and an activity hazard analysis is completed and submitted to the customer and the company project manager.
- All necessary field changes are cleared by the company designer and kept on a set of "red-line" drawings by the foreman.
- NICET certified company staff make field inspections at 25% and 75% installation.
- All close-out documentation and testing is verified by checklist and stored for a minimum of ten (10) years.
